I remember myself always innovating. When I was a child, I was always testing things, first to understand them and then to find improvements. Yes, I started opening and modifying my sister’s crying and moving dolls, although she didn’t like it… Also, my electric train, my radio, the TV, the computer… And I ended up graduating with two M.Sc. degrees in Telecom and Electronics Engineering.
People say I’m an entrepreneur by nature. Curiosity fuels tenacity. I founded my Secondary School’s journal and the Astronomy Club at the university. Afterwards, I started four companies. And I learnt a great deal of new things on my way.
You can imagine how excited I feel to work with people passionate about bringing new ideas to life. The sensation of sharing my expertise in the EU grant portfolio (I started as an advisor for the European Commission in 2019) and finding funding options together with our clients for their unseen innovations can only be compared to the silent sailing on a sunny day with a pleasant breeze — one of my passions.
We invented the Money Torpedo.
After working for two of the largest innovation consulting companies in Europe, GIA was born in 2016. Experiencing slow decisions, a lack of agility, and weird recommendations to participate in some grants against others because of departmental competition or cascade acquisitions to grow at a European or global scale, I decided that was not the right place to be happy and proud of my work. Or anyone’s work.
So, I started my boutique firm, GIA. It’s true. They are large, and we are smaller. But we learnt how they work from inside, and we do better. We have a higher success rate in some programs like Pathfinder or RIA, and our clients stay with us for years! Our indestructible core values may have something to do with it.
