The GIA team wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year 2026!
It has been a tough year full of challenges and exciting moments. The Research Executive Agency (REA) published the Pillar II calls with an unprecedented delay of nearly half a year, pushing much of the work for applicants and us into the second half of 2025.
However, we are glad of the results. GIA Institute is now much stronger, capable, and prepared. Our strategy for 2026 is based on three pillars:
- Evolving to a bottom-up approach, where GIA selects the best calls regarding expected competition, number of grants, field of expertise, etc., and proactively seeks partners, especially among our GIA Club members.
- Bringing top-performing partners to consortia. This ensures the state-of-the-art of the proposed innovation is in the consortium.
- Leveraging our self-developed AI tools to multiply the quality and alignment of proposals written by our consultants.
I hope these days bring you and your family joy, peace, reflection, and rest. I’m sure 2026 will be a year full of challenges and opportunities, and we all must be prepared, especially in Europe, to shine like the star we have always been for the world. A toast to the cradle of humanism and science!
