Mandated by the European Commission to support the EU Research and Innovation policy, the European Research Executive Agency (REA), funds high-quality research and innovation projects that generate knowledge for the benefit of society. REA also manages promotion measures concerning agricultural products.

REA’s responsibilities are to:

  • Manage research projects supported under Horizon Europe, the world’s largest framework programme for research and innovation to date, running from 2021 to 2027.
  • Manage research projects supported under Horizon 2020, the previous framework programme for research and innovation (2014-2020).
  • Implement the European Union programmes Promotion of agricultural products and Research Fund for Coal and Steel, as well as ongoing projects funded under the EU’s 2014-2020 budget.
  • Assist funding and tender applicants, beneficiaries and independent experts.
  • Manage the European Commission’s Research Enquiry Service, which answers questions from grant applicants, EU-funded researchers and the public.
  • Support independent experts evaluating project proposals competing for EU research funds.
  • Assist with the legal and financial validation of all European Union programme grants and procurement operations directly funded by the European Commission.

GIA collects the following data:

  • Messages sent through the contact form and comments on our posts.

You directly provide GIA with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our posts or via email.

  • Complete a contact form request.

GIA may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

How will we use your data?

GIA collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order and manage your account.

How do we store your data?

GIA securely stores your data on the premises of our cloud database provider in Frankfurt and our own servers in Bulgaria and Lithuania.

GIA will keep your messages and personal details for ten years. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removing the corresponding records in our databases.

Marketing

GIA would like to send you information about our products and services that we think you might like. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt-out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop GIA from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please contact us to let us know.
